Common Problems with Sand Sample Dyeing Machines

Apr 10, 2026 Leave a message

1. Machine fails to start or does not respond to power

Possible causes: Loose power plug, blown fuse, control panel program not reset.

Solutions:
Check if the socket has power and ensure the power cord is securely connected;
Check if the fuse at the back of the machine is blown, replace with a fuse of the same specification if necessary;
Ensure the previous program has completely exited, re-enter standby mode, and then start the machine.

2. Sudden shutdown or automatic program interruption during operation

Possible causes: Over-temperature protection triggered, unstable voltage, incorrect program settings.

Solutions:
Check if the cooling fan is working properly and clean dust from the vents;
Avoid sharing the circuit with other high-power equipment and ensure a stable power supply;
Recalibrate the temperature sensor and verify the process parameter settings.

3. Slow temperature rise or failure to reach the set value

Possible causes: Aging heating element, poor contact of the temperature probe, excessive dye liquor leading to excessive heat load.

Troubleshooting Methods:

Check if the heating element is working properly (this can be determined by the instrument reading);
Clean the metal contacts of the temperature probe and ensure it is inserted into the staining cup lid containing the sample;
Control the volume of staining solution in each cup within the recommended range (usually no more than 2/3 of the capacity).

4.Staining Cup Leakage or Seal Ring Spray

Possible Causes: Aging or deformation of the seal ring, loose threads on the cup lid, or cracks in the cup body.

Troubleshooting Methods:
Replace the silicone seal ring regularly (recommended every 6 months);
Turn off the power and allow it to cool before opening the lid to avoid splashing due to heat pressure;
Check the cup body for minor cracks and replace any damaged parts promptly.

5.Abnormal Noise or Severe Vibration During Operation:
Possible Causes:
Imbalanced loading;
Wearing worn rotor bearings;
Imbalanced placement of dye cups:
Troubleshooting Methods:
At least two dye cups must be loaded symmetrically.
For single samples, place an equal volume water cup on the other side;
Check if the motor base screws are loose and tighten if necessary;
If the bearing makes a "clicking" sound, contact the manufacturer for professional repair.

6. Display screen displaying garbled characters or touch screen malfunctioning

Possible causes: Moisture in the control system, static interference, software lag.

Solutions: Power off and restart the device, wait 3 minutes, then power it back on; Keep the operating environment dry and prevent moisture from entering the control panel; If the problem persists, it is recommended to upgrade the control program or contact after-sales service to refresh the system.
