I. Counter Not Working
Possible Causes: Power not connected, loose wiring, or counter itself is damaged.
Solution: Check if the power plug is properly connected and reconnect the wiring; if the problem persists, replace the counter.
II. Friction Head Pressure Incorrect
Possible Causes: Spring fatigue, missing weights, or loose pressure adjustment screw.
Solution: Replace the spring, add additional weights, or adjust the pressure adjustment screw to ensure the pressure is stable at the 9N standard value.
III. Friction Head Movement Stalling
Possible Causes: Loose drive belt, insufficient bearing lubrication, or sample stage not level.
Solution: Adjust drive belt tension, add lubricating oil, or use a level to calibrate the sample stage level.
IV. Excessive Noise
Possible Causes: Insufficient bearing lubrication, worn gears, or motor malfunction.
Solution: Regularly lubricate the bearings, replace worn gears, and repair or replace the motor if necessary.
V. Poor Repeatability of Test Results
Possible Causes: Insecure sample fixation, improper installation of the friction cloth, inaccurate pressure, or large fluctuations in ambient humidity.
Solutions: Ensure the sample is flat and clamped securely, install the friction cloth correctly, calibrate the pressure regularly, and test under standard atmospheric conditions.
VI. Abnormal Friction Marks
Imprecise or irregular circular marks: Check the instrument status, moisture content, and whether the friction cloth is installed flat.
Deep edges, shallow center, or uneven depth: Adjust the test platform and check if the friction head is flat.
Ghosting or irregular shape: Check the specifications of the metal mesh or sandpaper, and confirm that the sample is securely clamped and the friction head pressure is uniform.
VII. Spindle Not Rotating or Abnormal Display
Possible Causes: Control system malfunction, loose belt, or sensor failure.
Solutions: Press the reset button to restore parameters and check if the wiring is in good contact; if the spindle rotation sound is uneven, check if the belt is loose.
